Design a well balanced home by offering both new and old items from furniture to accessories. Having a home based solely on new is a BIG NO NO for me! First off most of today’s furniture is “fast furniture” made with particle board and engineered wood in which durability is compromised. You can find affordable and high quality furniture at most thrift stores. Look for solid wood! Dressers, bookshelves, coffee tables, console tables can be great finds at local thrift stores, however, I am all for splurging on a new sofa. I find most thrifted upholstered pieces need to be reupholstered and that can be very expensive. Thrifting accessories is by far my favorite pastime from frames, vases, plates, art, trinkets, mini statues, books, honestly endless.
Find it and style it!
